KITA KLANE

Enchanting L.A. songstress, Kita Klane has been compared to everyone from Etta James to Amy Winehouse (minus the inner turmoil) – one clearly understands what all the fuss is about.  “All trip-hop tempo and dreamy atmospherics envelop her beguilingly bewitching vocals" (Blackbook); her creative journey has seen her further cultivating her considerable DJ and production skills of late, as well as working on new music for a 2023 release.

The sultry indie-soul singer's career trajectory has been impressive. Her most recent single release, a cover of “Baby Mine” (from the original Dumbo movie) is described by journalist Ken Scrudato as an “Enchanting Modern World Lullaby” adding “with a subtle, underlying noir quality as if David Lynch were somehow influencing the proceedings." “Baby Mine” follows last years self-penned “Salt”,  which was also given a "seductive down tempo” (EDM sauce) remix by electronic pioneer Moby.

The past year, Kita dropped multiple Latin-flavored remixes (by Toy Selectah and Brazilian Girls) of her single “Technicolor”; which originally premiered on Zane Lowe’s show Beats 1.

2018/19 found  Kita adding DJ sets to her repertoire, becoming an Artist ambassador for JBL/Harman/AKG, DJ’ing events at the Super Bowl, Art Basel and JBL fest.  Kita also traveled to DJ shows in Washington DC, Philadelphia, Miami, New York City and in her hometown of Los Angeles.

2017 saw her release the original song “Momma Said” which was written for the movie "Austin Found”.

Klane’s breakthrough 2015 EP “Fingerprints”, garnered impressive reviews; the title cut was featured in national advertising campaigns for Hulu and Samsung.

The video for “Fingerprints” was play listed on VH1 and on MTV Latin America and was the third in a series of richly styled Black & White Noir videos from her first two EP’s (Including “The Enemy” and “Running Circles”) which have totaled over 3 million views on YouTube.  “Fingerprints” was featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday and has racked up over 1.3 million streams.

Her songs have been featured in Television shows on NBC/Universal, Starz, MTV, Lifetime, The CW, Bravo, VH1, ABC and Netflix.
